All You Need To Know About Google's AI-Based Search Updates In India

In recent months, artificial intelligence (AI) has attracted a lot of attention. The technology may generate text, images, and other types of media using the generative model. Internet behemoth Google took notice of this function and integrated it into its Search. In order to create fresh and unique material, this type of AI uses deep-learning models to recognize the patterns and structures within current data. In order to help a user better comprehend the results, the generative AI provides contextual content in the form of videos (explainers or DIY snippets) and graphics in addition to text-based search results.

And now, moving one step further, Google has added generative AI to its Search feature for users in Japan and India, which will display text or visual results in the users' native languages.

Updated feature Search outcomes

According to a Google blog post, generative AI will make it easier for users to complete tasks, find new perspectives and insights, and comprehend topics better faster.

The quick videos and pictures in the search results page will follow a conversational format and cover some of the subject's facets to give users a comprehensive overview.

Google gave the following scenario as an illustration: "Which is a good beginner trek in Himachal and how to prepare for it?" The topic will be broken down more quickly with the aid of generative AI.

With connections to go deeper, the AI-powered Search will provide an overview of the most important data to take into account, such as answering the query "How to take great photos on a trek?"

By tapping the language toggle button, Google Search users can also switch from an English result to a Hindi one. Additionally, it will read the results aloud using the text-to-speech feature (accessible via the Listen button).

In order to avoid typing follow-up queries, Google says it will soon incorporate a microphone icon in conversational mode.

According to the Google site, a variety of voices will be used to produce the search results. It also stated that Search advertisements would still run in their own spots on the website.

Only the United States had access to the feature up until this point. Google said customers will have the option to opt in for it after its implementation in India and Japan.
